For over thirty years, swiss artist Felice Varini’s has made extraordinary anamorphic paintings covering buildings, streets and walls. Varini starts all of his geometric perspective-localized paintings from his eye level. If you aren’t standing at the vantage point, his work can be at first confusing. You may see shapes broken at the most awkward angles. But the effect of trying to figure the vantage point out not only let’s you explore the space you are standing in, but sets you off on a fun and hopefully accident-free journey while walking backwards to figure it out.
